Our Mission

To Empower Youth to Start Making an Impact, Now

The founder started Cookies for Charity when she was only 5 years old and Cookies for Charity has made a significant impact ever since.

Part of our mission is to encourage other kids to do the same and to start making a difference now; Children don't need to wait until they are older to start making positive change.

To Spread the Message about Hippotherapy

Horseback riding therapy is not covered by most insurance companies, despite its immense positive impact.

The movement of the horse affects a rider's posture, balance, coordination, strength, and sensorimotor systems.

It also improves mental health, as riders often create positive relationships with the horses, similar to therapy dogs.

To Make a Difference in Someone Else's Life

Cookies for Charity raises money to fund children's horseback riding therapy for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it.

Horseback riding therapy is life-changing, and to provide that opportunity for families makes such a difference in their lives.

Cookies for Charity

Cookies for Charity is an annual lemonade and cookie stand in Highland Park, IL that raises money for the Equestrian Connection, a therapeutic horseback riding facility in Lake Forest, IL.

Gabriella Cooperman (pictured center in the photo on the right) created this lemonade stand when she was five years old with a mission in mind: To make a difference in someone else's life. She since has raised over $155,000 in the last 13 years to benefit other children by sponsoring their therapy.
